How you can help
Events
The Trust raises funds by organising sponsored events which celebrate the work of free legal advice organisations and the legal profession that supports them.
Join Our Events
You can help us in raising funds for local advice communities by signing up as teams or individuals to walk, run, cycle and bake to raise money to support access to justice for the most vulnerable in society.
Encourage Others
Encourage other people to join our events, perhaps acting as the team organiser for your organisation and/or getting other teams to sign up – friends, family, random acquaintances – anyone you can!
Do Your Own
Organise your own event and donate the proceeds to free legal advice services across the North West. We can help promote your event and provide branded material to help market your event in the run up and on the day.

In Kind Support
One of the ways in which companies and other organisations can support us is through in kind donations and they really are invaluable. If you think you might be able to offer us a product or service that would help us or the agencies we work with please do get in touch.
Sponsorship
We actively seek sponsors for each of our fundraising events and hope to give those companies that choose to support us in this way a unique opportunity to be recognised alongside NWLST and market themselves to our supporters. For information about what we offer for each event please contact us.
Shop Online
We participate in http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk, a website which enables you to support good causes by shopping online. Easyfundraising.co.uk works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead.
Over 2000 retailers participate in the scheme including John Lewis and Apple. A full list of retailers can be found here.
These retailers donate a percentage of the value of your online purchase to your chosen charity. For example, John Lewis will donate 1%, The Body Shop 6%. Not only is this at no extra cost to you, but also you can get lots of voucher codes and special discounts, so you can actually save money while raising funds for the NWLST.
You can also raise money by buying for business with a lot of partner business retailers, such as Staples. HP or travel companies, such as Virgin. A guide to buying for business can be found here.
You don't need to worry about checking whether a retailer is part of the scheme when you make an online purchase.
When creating your fundraising account, you have the option to install a 'Find & Remind' toolbar. It is a free toolbar that shows a little reminder every time a donation is available, when you're shopping online, which means you'll never miss valuable donations.
