Supporting Access to Justice in the North West of England

Picture
"In the current harsh economic climate the need for funds for legal advice is ever-increasing, especially as pre-existent sources are diminished, restricted or even distinguished. At the NWLST we are passionate about doing what we can to ensure that legal advice and support is available to all."
Dinah Crystal OBE, Chairperson
The North West Legal Support Trust (NWLST) is a grant-making charity, which raises and distributes funds to support free legal advice services and access to justice for all in the North West of England.

The Trust covers a wide area that includes Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

The charities supported by the NWLST help to facilitate  and support access to justice for the poorest, most vulnerable and most disadvantaged members of society. They provide free legal help to people facing problems such as homelessness, debt, employment, family issues, mental health problems, discrimination and injustice and they desperately need funds to support their work.

Receiving the legal advice they need makes a huge difference to these people’s lives.  You can see some examples of those organisations we have helped here.

The North West Legal Support Trust is a company limited by guarantee (company no. 6852308) and a registered charity (charity no. 1131259). It's registered office is at c/o Gateley, Ship Canal House, 98 King Street, Manchester M2 4WU.
