Access to justice should be equally available to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.
The North West Legal Support Trust (NWLST) is a charity established as part of a network of seven Trusts across England and Wales working with the Access to Justice Foundation, to raise funds to distribute to free legal advice services across the North West region. The NWLST works to support law centres, citizen advice bureaux, legal advice agencies and other organisations by providing them with grant funding. We do this by holding fundraising events, and then delivering those funds to the agencies where they are needed through grant rounds.
This financial support assists these organisations so they can continue to give free legal advice to those most vulnerable in our society, on issues such as reducing debt, poverty, homelessness, family matters and combating discrimination and injustice.
Receiving the legal advice they need makes a huge difference to these people’s lives. You can see some examples of those organisations we have helped here.
