Join them and show your support of access to justice!
The North West Legal Support Trust has been established to support the provision of free legal advice in Preston and the North West region since 2010 and the Preston legal walk is an important part of our fundraising activities. The organisations we support make a huge difference in the lives of many people. The recent cuts to legal aid and the reduced household income for many working families due to the recession have increased the importance of free access to specialist legal advice for the poorest and most vulnerable people in our community.
Despite the cuts to legal aid the legal profession has always championed access to justice for all and the Preston Legal Walk is evidence of that. This enjoyable event celebrates the continued work of the advice sector in protecting people’s rights and ensuring access to justice for all.
Registration for the event will open from 5pm. The Walk will start at 5:30. About two hours later walkers cross the finish line where refreshments will be provided by the Lancashire Law School to our thirsty walkers.
We would like to get as many people involved as possible, so gather your co-workers, friends, family, and why not dogs, to join us for an evening of walking and having fun while raising vital funds for legal advice agencies!
